An announcement

I'm 14 weeks pregnant. Expecting my first child at the end of January. We're very excited.

I promised myself I wouldn't post this until I'd finished reading a journal article this morning, but it's been a bit of a distraction...as it has been for many days now.

I'll share more as the weeks (and the belly) progress, but for now Paper 3 must receive more attention.

Congratulations,
A wonderful time will come to both of you, though it will be busy time combining PhD-study/defense and parenthood. We (me and my girlfriend) are also PhD-students and have a 1-year old daughter.

A bit late, but congratulations all the same! You wrote in an earlier post about a "big announcement" to come, and I thought (hoped?) it would be a baby. I'm happy for the two of you!
